As of April 30 this year, there were more than 4900 fuel cell related enterprises in China (only counting the names, products and business scope of enterprises including "fuel cell" in operation and existing enterprises). In 2020, there were 708 newly registered enterprises, a year-on-year decrease of 30.1%. In the first quarter of this year, there were 235 newly registered enterprises, a year-on-year increase of 86.5%. In terms of regional distribution, Guangdong ranked first with 1341 enterprises, while Shandong and Jiangsu ranked second and third respectively.
From the development status of fuel cell related enterprises in the past decade, the number of registered enterprises has been increasing since 2012, and the number of registered enterprises has exceeded 1000 in 2019, with a year-on-year growth of 16%, reaching the peak in the past decade. In 2020, the number of registered companies dropped to 708, a year-on-year decrease of 30.1%.
In the first quarter of this year, 235 fuel cell related enterprises registered in China, up 86.5% year on year. Among them, 143 registered in March, higher than the sum of January and February.
In terms of the registered capital of fuel cell related enterprises, among the 4900 or so fuel cell related enterprises, 3601 companies have a registered capital of more than 5 million yuan, accounting for 61%; There are 1457 companies with registered capital ranging from 1 million yuan to 5 million yuan, accounting for 25%; There are 823 companies with registered capital less than 1 million yuan, accounting for 14%.
